‘There is Nothing in This World’ is a giclee print in a custom frame that is the only record of a private performance delivered without an audience. This work functions as both document to action, but also as a homage to Bresson’s proposition of the ‘decisive’ moment, referring to the moment when all the elements in a photograph come together perfectly to create a meaningful image. In this instance it is the moment where Persephone becomes lost and her mouth full of pomegranate seeds signifies her loss and longing.
