Andrew and Linda’s spectacular large experimental paintings and aluminium sculptural drawings, were made by playing intuitively with fast paced layers of colour, paint, pen, chalk & pastels. The two artists built a strong creative relationship, listening to TV theme tunes as inspiration. They based their project at Hulme Garden Centre and allowed their paintings to be influenced by the natural surroundings. Painters often work in total isolation and this felt like a natural yet challenging progression for both as neither had the opportunity to work in this way before. This project was part funded by The Grand Plan.
