After Warhol - Private Film Screening

25 Sep 2017

In 2010 Paul Stephenson purchased some of Andy Warhol's original acetates; the negatives Andy used to make his paintings. Realising the central importance of these acetates in Warhol's process has taken the artist on an amazing journey, working with Warhol's key collaborators, friends and family and making a short film documenting Paul using the acetates and period correct materials to make new paintings. Paintings described by the writer of Warhol's Catalogue Raisonné and pre-emanate Warhol scholar Rainer Crone, as 'Posthumous Warhols'.

After the screening and Q&A with Paul examples of these 'Posthumous Warhols' will be on display at Leon Martyn's stand alongside some of Warhol's original acetates.
