Hetherington Framers Return to the Fair

30 May 2017

Expert, bespoke face to face framing advice from Hetherington Framers for new pieces you have purchased at the fair or those you already own will be available at Buy Art Fair.

Hetheringtons is a company built around the highest levels of craft and execution, and is proud to offer those same high standards to a broad and loyal client base whether local Glossopians popping into the workshop with single pieces, or major international dealers and collectors who return on a regular basis.

Mathew Hetherington trained in the family cabinet-making business 20 years ago, where his dedicated and studious approach to craftsmanship has gained an impressive client list including private collectors, major international antique dealers and even royalty. From here he diversified into the production of bespoke interior design pieces ranging from curtain rails to interior panelling, before latterly moving into framing, where his attention to aesthetic detail and worksmanship have quickly earned acclaim from major public and private galleries and well-known collectors.

Hetheringtons can offer a truly bespoke service, creating traditional and contemporary style frames from an artisan workshop in a variety of gilt and carved finishes. If required every element of your frame and mount can be hand-made and coloured by eye to your exact specifications.

Current clients include members of the Artnet News prestigious 'Top 200 Art Collectors Worldwide’ list; The Whitworth; Directors of major institutions such as Manchester Art Gallery, Manchester Museum and The Manchester Contemporary; as well as private collectors, leading commercial galleries and award winning individual artists and printmakers.

Framing Services offered; Museum quality framing, bespoke mounting, bespoke mould making service, repairs, guilding and hand painting.
