The Manchester Contemporary has been established for over ten years and with The Manchester Art Fair is the largest art fair outside London.

Each year we carefully select exhibitors from established galleries, emerging galleries and artist-led spaces to showcase in Manchester for our growing audience of private and corporate art collectors.

The fair was launched in response to an Arts Council report which was looking for more art fairs and selling platforms for innovative contemporary art outside of London.

Over the past decade it has developed into two distinctive fairs. The first providing a platform for commercial galleries and individual artists and the second a platform for emerging and early career galleries and artist led spaces producing critically engaged work.
